Otero -- Abenicio "Ben" M. Otero, 92, a resident of Los Lunas, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, May 10, 2001. He was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. He served his country in the US Army during W.W.II. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Flora of the family home in Los Lunas; his two sisters, Ida O. Francis and Jennie M. Otero, both of Albuquerque; one brother, Frank and his wife, Maymie of Peralta. Ben is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2001, 1:30pm at the San Clemente Catholic Church followed by a Rosary at 2:00pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00am at San Clemente Church with Interment in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30pm. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM

Martinez -- Funeral Services for Mrs. Ramona Martinez will be held on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Peralta Cemetery. Jaramillo -- Frances Jaramillo, 91, a resident of Valencia, NM, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 27, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM. She was prededed in death by her husband, Hermenes in 1991; her son, Tony in 1955; her great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Thalia Baca in 2000; her parents, Manuel and Gertudes Jaramillo; and one sister, Manueliata Griego. She is survived by her four children, Ida Cruz of Vista, CA; Manuelito Baca and his wife, Josie of Los Lunas; Mary B. and Arno Franco, of Albuquerque; and Herman Baca and his wife, Miquela of Los Lunas; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ramona Ejido of Albquerque; and one son-in-law, Pula Sanchez. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM

Martinez -- Mrs. Ramona Martinez died Monday in Albuquerque at the age of 73. Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her children, Lorencita and David Martinez and by her brother, Siman Trujillo. She is survived by her husband, Melchior Martinez of the family home; sons, Melchior J. Martinez of Peralta, and Adolfo Martinez and wife, Bernadine of Los Lunas; daughters, Patricia P. Dodge and husband, Martin of Albuquerque, and Elizabeth Martinez of Los Lunas; brothers, Joe Trujillo and wife, Margaret of Peralta, and Pete Trujillo and wife, Mary of Hurley; sisters, Alice McPeek and husband, Erving of Albuquerque, Sally Bennett and husband, George of Peralta, Connie Garcia and husband, Eloy of California, and Esther Marquez and husband, Manuel of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Chad, Maria Teresa, Adolfo, Patricia, Martin, Timothy, Erica and Christina; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Peralta Cemetery. Kromeke -- Charles W. Kromeke, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita Kromeke of Albuquerque; daughter, Teresa Nolan and husband, Mike of Peralta, NM; son, Michael B. Kromeke and wife, Jean of Deming, NM ; grandchildren, Mark J. Kromeke of North Carolina, and Matthew D. Kromeke of Albuquerque; 9 nieces and nephews in Baltimore, MD. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Werner Kromeke and Anna K. Kromeke; brother, James V. Kromeke; and sister, Elizabeth Wagner. He served in the Army Tank Corp during WWII in Northern Africa. Friends may visit on Monday, April 23, 2001 at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Bob Chabot officiating. The family would like to thank Laurel View Health Care System, Vista Care Hospice of Albuquerque, Manor Care Camino Vista and the Veterans Administration Health Care for all the attention and tender care of Charles. Baca -- Mario Victor Baca born on September 22, 1999, died on April 9, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Baca; his father, Victor Baca; his sister, Victoria Baca; his maternal grandparents, Gloria Carrillo, Ben Megah and his wife, Laura; his paternal grandparents, Deborah and Victor Baca; and numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends many of whom were there when he went into Jesus' arms. He was greatly loved and will always be in our hearts. The Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Monday, April 16, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 3674 Hwy 47, Peralta, NM. Memorials in Mario's name can be made to the All Faith's Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112, to help prevent what happened to Mario from happening to another child. Armijo -- Patrocinio Armijo, 77, a resident of Socorro for the past 40 years, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2001 in Socorro, NM. He was born October 22, 1923 to Fidel and Pablita Martinez Armijo in Quemado, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank, Espedion, Dolores, Jesus and Fidelito, sisters, Mary Jane Armijo, Juanita Cordova, Candelaria Foulenfont and Patrocinia Armijo. He is survived by his sister, Refugia,"Cuca" Foulenfont of Prescott, AZ; 32 nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and nieces. Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 16, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Quemado, NM with Father Robert Mathieu as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers are Anthony Peralta, Pete Romero, Marty Romero, Becky Chavez, Brenda Valenzuela and Michelle Valenzuela. Dossey -- Joy Ann Dossey, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Thursday, April 12, 2001. She is survived by her son, Howard W. Dossey and wife, Yvonne; granddaughter, Tricia Dossey, both of Peralta; brothers, David, Travis and Robert Keeney of Albuquerque and Alvin Keeney of Belen; sisters, Mary Smith of CA and Katie Rockwell of OH. Joy Ann was preceded in death by her parents, R.D. and Lucille Keeney; and husband, Howard A. Dossey. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and a more recent member of Riverside Baptist Church. Joy was a dedicated Lobo fan and supporter of UNM athletics. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. G.A. Minor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Special thanks to 600 Unit of Albuquerque Manor and St. Joseph Dialysis.
